Montreal, QC

Born 1966, Montreal, Canada. Home of the 1976 Summer Olympics, and began running in 1980, inspired by Terry Fox-legendary Canadian who attempted to run across Canada on one leg....

After a few 5kms, and 10km in the summer of 1981, I ran (completed!!) my first marathon at age 15 (1981-Montreal Marathon).

Running historian and loyal to the sport, poet/writer/musician, and professional photographer since 1987. Met many of the running LEGENDS, in my lifetime-Olympians and pioneers of our sport-Ted Corbitt, Bill Rodgers, Frank Shorter, Don Kardong, Alberto Salazar,Jacqueline Gareau, Mike Dyon, Bruny Surin, Joan (Benoit) Samuelson, John J. Kelley, Alan Webb, to name a few...I consider them runner "friends" and the most gracious, kind, and generous people I have ever met- and I have met many celebs, athletes, and rock stars in my career as a photographer.....

With inspiration from elites to back of the packers, it is the greatest sport in the world-accessible to all, rich, or poor, black or white.

From the greatest authors/publishers in the sport-George Sheehan, Joe Henderson, Bart Yasso, and my original publishing friend back in 1982-Bob Anderson -credit to these folks for getting a teenage kid out on the roads...

In this sport we are all equal, since we RUN....

In fitness and in health- LONG MAY YOU RUN.
